What does the set consist of?
Finasteride 1 mg. Minoxidil 5%.
Who is this product set for?
The anti-hair loss set is for men who suffer from hair loss and thinning hair.
What does finasteride do?
Hair loss in men is caused by dihydrotestosterone (DHT). A hormone that is present in the scalp and damages the hair follicles. DHT disrupts the hair growth cycle, causing hair to shorten, fall out more easily and grow back more difficultly. Finasteride works by reducing DHT production by 70%, stopping hair loss in 80% of men.
What does minoxidil do?
Minoxidil stimulates the hair growth cycle and extends the active growth phase (the period when the hair grows). Minoxidil also improves the blood supply around the hair follicles, allowing them to absorb more nutrients. Combined, these effects result in an increase in hair growth, thickness and density.
How effective is this set?
Using the anti-hair loss set is more effective than finasteride or minoxidil alone. This has been shown by research. The study found that using finasteride stopped hair loss in 80.5% of men compared to 94.1% of men using finasteride + minoxidil (the anti-hair loss set).
How quickly do I see results?
Minoxidil and finasteride work immediately, but it takes a while before you start noticing the results. On average, it takes about 3 to 6 months. This is because both products "reset" the hair growth cycle, and it takes 3-6 months for the "old" hair to be replaced by newer, thicker hair.
How to use finasteride?
Finasteride consists of 1 mg tablets and is taken daily. It doesn't matter when you take finasteride, as long as you are consistent. So you choose the time - morning, afternoon or evening - but make sure you are consistent.
How to use minoxidil?
Minoxidil is used twice a day - once in the morning and in the evening. Before using minoxidil, make sure that the scalp is clean and dry; i.e. it should not contain any residue from styling products. After applying minoxidil, you should avoid using the shower, hairdryer and styling products for at least 60 min
What are the side effects of finasteride?
Data analysis of 9 different studies, with 3751 participants, shows the net chance of side effects to be 2.26%. The most common side effect is decreased libido.
